Twin Pines is the debut release of Forvitinn on the Raftonar output. He offers us a good variety of electronic poems – from the melancholic tale of a polar bear in capture in “Mad Polar Bear,“ the thumping “4 to the floor“ of “Third“ with a hint of melancholy, the club banging remix of “Third“ in the hands of the Icelandic tech – house wonder Terrordisco, the uplifting mind – boggling indie – pop of “You Fought Soldier“ and the painfully beautiful modern classical piece of “Even.“ Altogether this EP is a beautiful example of the complexity of Forvitinn‘s musical approach – offering something so delicate and sincere.
The Berlin – based Forvitinn is an enigmatic and daring artist. Aside from experimenting with music, he has made a reputable career as a painter, sculpturer as well as contributing to various video art and media art performances. The release date will be 6th of april. The debute will be available digitally on Bandcamp page Raftonar – as well as in all major music providers and digital record stores .
